Sorry for the long gap since my last newsletter; looks as if this will be quarterly rather than monthly. I have been doing more frequent news posts on the illumos blog, mostly small collections of links about the illumos family.

illumos is applying to participate in Google Summer of Code 2012. I will be serving as org admin, and we need volunteers from the community to serve as mentors, as well as project ideas.
